Inga Torfadottir is a ceramic and graphic artist living in Winnipeg Manitoba. She immigrated with her family from Iceland in 1976. After studying fine arts at Myndlista og Handidaskoli Islands [Icelandic Collage of Art and Design] and Myndlistaskoli Reykjavikur [Reykjavik Collage of Fine Art] she worked as a ceramic artist and instructor at the Stoneware Studio WPG., producing fine ceramic pieces for over 20 years. Inga is a member of Manitoba Printmakers Association where she teaches workshops and courses on various methods of printmaking. Her work may be found in many private and public collections such as the Government of Iceland, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Government of Manitoba and the Government of North Korea. She has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally since 1987.
