dr on materials

The cool white of the silver and the wramth of the gold stimulate my ideas. These metals have become my pallette of colour and texture. To get a richer gold colour, I alloy different carats of gold. I like to work without any concern about a metals value. Unlike the incas whose goldsmithing inspired me, I cannot play with gold as freely to create masks and other amulets of personal adornment. Instead, I use other metals and materials, specific to a piece or to an idea. I use stone and pieces of wood and driftwood to introduce the element of nature and natural chances. I use gold to embellish my design ideas.
