The Assistant Ranger post is based in Yateley working at Hampshire Countryside Service sites across north Hampshire. Structured training will be offered as part of the placement and will cover field survey work including bat, great crested newt and reptile surveys, as well as office-based tasks such as ecological report writing rabbitroad.com, sound analysis and desk studies. The scheme generally runs from April to the end of October annually and is based at our head office in Hampshire.

Norfolk Wildlife Trust’s Nature Recovery team are looking for a Wilder Landscapes Adviser who will work with team members to design and implement projects to recover nature at a landscape scale through effective partnerships. I could never understand how people could just laugh when they were watching their soil go down the rivers and not be bothered by it. And to me we’ve been on that path and we’ve got the knowledge this time, and we need to turn it around. But by the time you get to that stage, you can’t just turn it round.

Had an enjoyable day and will return! We had a tour and then groomed, walked and fed the goats that the children chose. I’m really looking forward to returning to the farm as I know that because we’ve been before it will be easier for my son to relax and be able to enjoy all that the farm has to offer . He wanted to look from afar and that was enough for today.
